JONATHAN WEIGLE was born in 1984 in a Berlin musician family.

 

After studies with Prof. Josef Schwab and Prof. Troels Svane he graduated from the Academy of Music "Hanns Eisler" Berlin in 2014 with honors. He also studied withProf. Ralf Gothoni at the prestigious "Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía "in Madrid 2011/2012.


Jonathan Weigle works as a passionate chamber musician with outstanding artists such as Kolja Blacher, Antje Weithaas, Lars Anders Tomter, Jonathan Aner, Radovan Vlatkovic and the Armida Quartet.

He has appeared at numerous European festivals and Academies such as the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, Usedom Music Festival, Encuentro de Musica y Academia de Santander, the summer music academy Schloss Hundisburg and at the Thy Chamber Music Festival.
Jonathan Weigle is a multiple award winner, ia. the Hanns-Eisler Prize for composition and interpretation of contemporary music in 2013 as well as the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy University Competition in 2010. As an orchestral and chamber musician, he has appeared in almost all of the
European countries, China, the Middle East, Brazil and China Argentina on.

 

In addition to the classical repertoire is dedicated he intensively studied modern and contemporary music as well as tango.
