Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst - Stuttgart

Sabine Sauer is a lecturer in piano at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart. She received her pianistic training from Prof. Paul Buck and Prof. Shoshana Rudiakov in Stuttgart and Prof. Heinz Medjimorec in Vienna. Her concert career as a soloist, chamber musician and lied accompanist took her to several countries in Europe and Brazil.
Renowned musicians such as soprano Christina Landshamer, the Lotus String Quartet and string soloists of the Concergebouw Orchestra Amsterdam are among their chamber music partners.
She is particularly interested in the performance of contemporary music. For example, she dedicated herself to the world premiere and CD recording of works by the Stuttgart organist and composer Jürgen Essl. She also played the German premiere of parts of the cycle "Allume l'aube dans la source" for piano solo by Jean-Pierre Leguay. His sextet "Jubilus" also brought it to the German premiere in cooperation with members of the SWR Symphony Orchestra. Each year she supervises the rehearsal of new works of the compositional classes at the International Summer Academy of Music (ISAM) in Ochsenhausen and plays numerous world premieres.
