École Normale de Musique de Paris - Alfred Cortot
After her first violin and chamber music awards at the National Conservatory of Music in Paris and obtaining several Grands Prix in international competitions (Long-Thibaud, Geneva, Tchaikovsky), Annick Roussin began a solo career through the world. She also participates as a chamber musician at many festivals. Criticism greets her unanimously, both for her concerts and for her recordings (Harmonia Mundi, Accord, 3D, Calliope, Grave).
Very interested in teaching, she was appointed professor of violin at the National Conservatory of Music of Lyon from 2000 to 2009 and professor of violin at the Faculty of Music of the University of Montreal from 2014 to 2018. She performed masterclasses in Finland, USA, Canada, Korea, Austria.
Very sensitive to body language, she has a long history of dance (classical, modern-jazz, and contemporary), mime and the Feldenkrais Method. These parallel experiences allowed him to considerably enrich his approach to violin and music, and thus to bring new perspectives to his pedagogy.
