In parallel to her litterature studies and a journalist master, Sophie Hervé graduated in voice with unanimity of jury in 1993. The same year, laureate of the Concours international Découverte France Télécom at CNSM de Paris, she is hired by Alain Marion and Gérard Caussé for a great tour of chamber music and then starts as Musica in Monteverdi's Orfeo.
Involved in music world, fond of stage, teaching and writting, she works during more than 20 years a wide repertoire (operas, operettes, oratorios, recitals, premieres, jazz...).
From 1995, she teaches voice at Centre Polyphonique de la Région Centre, then at CFMI de Tours and Cefedem de Poitiers, organizes workshops and leads a great thought about voice and corporeal techniques (yoga, Alexander, Feldenkrais) that she associates to her practice and work.
She work with ensembles and choirs for singers, choir conductors and comedians training at all levels. Encouraged by theater directors, conductors and producers, she obtains confidence and technical and artistic accompaniment of international artists.
Since 2002, she teaches at the Université Musicologie de Poitiers, as a voice and stage art teacher for profesionnal degrees : Art lyrique et Métiers de la Scène, Direction de Chœur, Art et Spectacles, Art de la scène (Tours, Poitiers, Paris VIII). Since 2004, she is a voice teacher at Conservatoire du XVIIIe and Lyric art at Conservatoire du VIIIe of Ville de Paris. In 2014 she obtains the DU : "Voix et Symptôme" with honors of jury in Psychanalysis department of Paris VII university.
She trains also young artists to prepare auditions and competitions.
Since 2006, she invited by Académies internationales d' été de Nancy and Paris-Vincennes for voice and pedagogy masterclasses. In January 2011 she teaches at Mahidol University à Bangkok and in August 2014 at Académies de Flaine for a masterclass and Purcell's Didon et Enée stage direction.
Her theatral skills and her experience of stage leads her to direct great school projects, with students and also in festivals with professionals and amateur. In previous years : Secret d'Eva L. by Julien Joubert, Le Tour du Monde en 80 jours by Louis du Noyer de Ségonzac in Bayeux, Pèlerinage de la Rose by Schumann at Auditorium St Germain in Paris, Le Joueur à de Flûte by Thierry Lalo in Paris area, and Secret d'Eva L. again in Poitiers in 2010. The Fairy Queen by Purcell in 2011 in Paris. In 2012, La maison de Bernarda Alba de G. Lorca, La création du "Voyage de Raphaël". In 2013, Les enfants du Levant by Isabelle Aboulker and Fragonard by Gabriel Pierné. In 2014 : Ansel et Gretel by Humperdinck, Swing swing by Emmanuel Touchard and Didon et Enée by Purcell. In 2015 : La flûte Enchantée by Mozart and an event at Gare St Lazare in Paris, and Carmen by Bizet at Académies de Flaine.
During the last 10 years, she performed with prestigious conductors and musicans in Gloria by Poulenc in Bangkok, and in France in Stabat Mater by Rossini, Poulenc, Dvorak, Requiems by Mozart, Verdi, Brahms, Fauré , Szymanowski ; Mass by Bernstein, Messe en ut by Mozart, Gallia by Gounod, Cantata 199 by Bach, Schéhérazade by Ravel, Petite Messe by Rossini, La Bonne Chanson by Fauré , Stabat Mater by Pergolèse, Psaume 42 by Mendelssohn, Wesendonk by Wagner. She also sings : Elvira of L'Italienne à Alger by Rossini, Despina of Cosi fan tutte by Mozart, Diane of Iphigénie en Tauride, Marguerite of Le Fantôme de l'Opéra with Octuor de France in Venise, Milady of Eaux d'Ems by Léo Delibes, Hélène of La Belle Hélène by Offenbach, in L'Amour Masqué by Messager in France, and in Edimburg in Scotland.
Recently : Grande Messe en Ut by Mozart in Marmande, Bayonne and Paris, Liebeslieder Walzer and opus 138 by Schumann with M. Piquemal in Paris, Requiem by Verdi in Paris and Chartres, Stabat Mater by Pergolèse in Ciboure, in Alsace and Paris. In a recital "Paris-New York" with Philippe Macé and improviser pianist Cyrille Lehn in Nancy, La Missa di Gloria by Donizetti in Marmande, Dixit Dominus by Handel and Stabat mater by Pergolèse. In a baroque music program "Rameau et Lully" in Bangkok, then Ziegueunerlieder by Brahms with Karolos Zouganelis at Nancyphonies festival.
Among her projects, Sophie Hervé will sing Missa Longa and Messe du Couronnement by Mozart in Marmande, Pêchers de vieillesse by Rossini, Messe St Nicolas by Haydn and Petite Messe Solennelle by Rossini.
