CAJUS Falstaff Longborough Festival, TENOR The Tyrant Teatro Comunale di Bolzano, QUINT Turn of the Screw New Israeli Opera and WITCH/SAILOR in Sascha Waltz’s hugely successful production of Dido and Aeneas Waldbühne Berlin and Staatsoper Berlin.
Educated at Durham University and The Royal Northern College of Music, Michael first came to public attention as the MADWOMAN in Yoshi Oida‘s production of Britten‘s Curlew River Aix-en-Provence, in which he also starred in the New York revival. He returned to Aix-en-Provence as DON CURZIO Le Nozze di Figaro, and as both MERCURIO and FIRST SOLDIER L‘Incoronazione di Poppea, a production he also sang in Vienna and the Cité de la Musique, Paris.

In the world of contemporary music Michael has worked closely with composers Marc Monnet and Param Vir as well as Ensemble Modèrne and Ensemble Psappha.
