CRR Caen - Orchestre de Caen
Originally from the North, Stéphane André started playing the cello at the Roubaix conservatory (59) in the class of Eric Watelle and studied music there until 1999 (Gold Cello Medal and 1st prize for advanced training, Gold Medal chamber music, Gold Medal for Musical Training ...).
Then he continued his cello studies in the Paris region with Xavier Gagnepain (CRR de Boulogne-Billancourt) and Florian Lauridon (CRR d'Aubervilliers-la Courneuve). In 2002, he joined the National Superior Music Conservatory of Lyon in the class of Jean Deplace and Anne Gastinel, then in the specialized cycle of chamber music in the class of Franck Krawczyk, in trio with piano. He also receives advice from LluisClaret, Igor Gavrich, Anner Bylsma ...
He graduated with the Mention Très Bien diploma (2005) and obtained his Certificate of Aptitude for the functions of cello teacher in June 2008.
His musician-interpreter activities led him to perform in the Lille National Orchestra, the Douai Orchestra (59) (solo cello), the Normandy Regional Orchestra, as well as in music by chamber at various festivals: Chamber music festival of Croix (59), "Chambre à Part" (Lille, 59), "les Inouies" (Arras, 62), "Aspects of today's music" (Caen, 14), "Bayeux en Musique" (Bayeux, 14), Festival "Les heures musicales de l'Abbaye de Lessay" (50), Festival de l'Abbaye de la Lucerne (50), "Arts sous les Clochers" (50 ) then "La Villa des Compositeurs" (Turin, ITALY) and the "Bristol New Music Festival" (Bristol, ENGLAND)
Since September 2009, he is Professor of cello at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Caen and Soloist at the Caen Orchestra / Musical season of the Caen Orchestra
He is also professor of cello at the International Summer Academy of Château-Gontier (53) since 2010
