Originally from the North, Stéphane André began playing the cello at the Roubaix conservatory in Eric Watelle's class and studied music there until 1999 (Gold Medal from cello and 1st price of improvement, Gold medal of chamber music, Medal
Music Training Gold ...).
Then he continued his cello studies in the Paris region with Xavier Gagnepain (CRR of Boulogne-Billancourt) and Florian Lauridon (CRR of Aubervilliers-la Courneuve).
In 2002, he joined the National Superior Music Conservatory of Lyon in the classroom by Jean Deplace and Anne Gastinel, then in specialized cycle of chamber music in the class by Franck Krawczyk, in trio with piano. He also receives advice from Lluis Claret, Igor Gavrich, Anner Bylsma ...
He graduated with the Mention Très Bien diploma (2005) and obtained his Certificate of Aptitude as cello teacher in June 2008.
His activities as a musician-performer led him to perform within the Orchestra National de Lille, from the Douai Orchestra (59) (solo cello), the regional orchestra from Normandy, as well as chamber music at the annual chamber music festivals of Croix (59) and "Chambre à Part »(Lille), Les Inouies (Arras), Aspects of today's music (Caen), Bayeux en Musique ...
He has been a cello teacher at the Château Gontier International Summer Academy (53) since 2010.
Since September 2009, he has been professor of cello at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Caen Regional and Soloist at the Caen Orchestra / Musical season of the Caen Orchestra
